Job Description

Position Summary:
Provide clinical support to program participants in the areas of addiction and mental health in an outpatient program by providing therapeutic counseling services through insight and interventions. Maintain caseload, provide both group and individual counseling services as detailed by program standards. Ensure the program supports individual goals of program participants, and that the program’s recovery model is followed. Demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of the clients and staff. Always display a caring and supportive attitude and represent the program in a positive manner. Maintain the confidentiality of all program participant information. Uphold the integrity of RHD values as outlined in the employee handbook.

Essential Duties and Functions:

Therapy:

  • Partner with individuals to develop their recovery goals in relation to their medical, psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Assist in program participants aftercare planning and follow-up.

Caseload management:

  • Participate actively in clinical case conferences as a member of the individual’s support team.
  • Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment.
  • Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.
  • Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.

Administrative:

  • Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Maintain up to date scheduling calendar.
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Certification is required per program license requirements within 6 months of hire.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer business software and electronic health care record programs.
