Position: Armed Security Officer

Job Description:

• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
• Part Time
• Location: Chicago, IL
• Pay Rate: Starting $20 Hourly

About the Job:

We are looking for a fit and attentive Security Officer to provide security for our clients. The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling a two-mile street (SSA) by foot, enforcing local and state laws, while maintaining a safe environment for our client and the patrons of the entertainment district. This job is over the weekend at night with two weekdays off.

To be successful as a Security Officer you must be alert and professional. A good Security Officer is aware of their surroundings, can multitask and are team focused.

Security Officer Responsibilities:

• Professional appearance is required at all times.
• Daily reports.
• Enforcing policies and the law, taking action as needed.
• Good customer relations.
• Ongoing training.
• Any other tasks assigned.

Security Officer Requirements:

• A high school qualification or equivalent.
• State PERC License & 230 Training Certification or ability to get certified.
• Basic first aid skills would be advantageous.
• Physical strength and fitness.
• 1-year prior experience as a security officer is preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic labor law knowledge.
• Driver's License with a Good Driving Record.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant - Seeing, hearing, feeling, standing, walking.
• Occasional - Reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, driving, bending, twisting, handling paperwork. 
• Carrying, lifting pushing, pulling, and gripping of objects ranging in weight from under 20 lbs. to over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.
