Job Description

Job Title: Associate Bankruptcy Attorney

Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Onsite)
Salary: $75,000 $95,000
Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Job Summary:
The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling bankruptcy matters on behalf of clients. This role requires strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and approve bankruptcy-related pleadings.
  • Manage all aspects of bankruptcy matters, including Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Objections, Responses to Objections, Payment Change Notices, Settlements, and Adversary Proceedings.
  • Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings.
  • Provide consistent updates and legal counsel to clients.
  • Attend regular client meetings.
  • Handle additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Must Haves / Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Maryland and Virginia State Bars.
  • 0-3 years of bankruptcy experience.
  • Residency in Baltimore, Maryland or Alexandria, Virginia.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client service.
  • Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance.
