About the Position

The company is seeking a BIM/VDC Manager to join their growing team in the tax free state of South Dakota . In this pivotal role, you will oversee the 3D design and coordination of BIM/VDC drawings for large-scale commercial plumbing projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure digital models translate into successful on-site installations. This is an opportunity to lead innovation and drive value from preconstruction through project delivery, using BIM/VDC to optimize coordination, reduce conflicts, and improve buildability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and coordination of BIM/VDC models for commercial plumbing systems
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure design intent is fully integrated
• Perform clash detection and resolve design issues using Navisworks or similar tools
• Coordinate with field teams to support layout, prefabrication, and installation
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans, standards, and best practices
• Mentor junior modelers/designers and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in BIM/VDC modeling, preferably in the commercial construction or MEP sector
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related BIM software
• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and construction sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and models
• Experience with coordination meetings and integrated project delivery (IPD) is a plus
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
