Clerical Assistant Radiation Oncology
Full-time, Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Purpose: Serves as receptionist for the Radiation/Oncology Department, types other material from prepared copy, i.e., requisitions; file reports, authorizations, patient cards, and other related material. Responsibilities:
Must meet all general employment requirements of the Hospital and in addition:
Education and Formal Training Required : High School Diploma or GED and graduate of a Medical Secretarial Program.
Experience Required : Three years of previous work experience in a medical office setting dealing with physicians/public/patients in the position of a receptionist.
Other qualifications : 1. Thorough knowledge of grammar and punctuation. 2. Ability to use office equipment, including computers, dictation equipment, and other items generally used in the office setting. Ability to type at least 40 wpm. 3. Familiarity and experience with functions of a Radiation Oncology facility. 4. Ability to communicate with physicians, patients, and the general public. 5. Equipment used: typewriter, transcription unit, computer hardware, fax machine. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
