We are seeking a qualified and reliable Cybersecurity Support professional to help safeguard our systems, data, and networks. This role is integral to maintaining the security posture of our operations and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide proactive cybersecurity support to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of organizational systems and data.
Monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Assist with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry best practices.
Support the implementation of security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
Conduct routine security awareness training for staff to mitigate security risks and ensure compliance with internal security protocols.
Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure proper configurations of firewalls, antivirus software, and other security tools.
Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware outbreaks, phishing attacks, and data breaches.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and threats to recommend necessary improvements and defenses.
Assist with the preparation and submission of reports for compliance audits and regulatory reviews.
Support the deployment and management of security updates and patches for all systems.
Essential Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a cybersecurity or IT security role, with hands-on experience in threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Skills: Strong knowledge of network security protocols, encryption technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
Certifications: Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and firewalls.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to security incidents quickly and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
