Job Description

Looking for an opportunity to work with a great team using your heavy equipment operator skills?  Then IOC Company LLC, a major road and highway construction company in south Texas, has an opportunity for you!  We are looking for individuals who have a passion for construction, like working on a team, and have a safety-first mindset to fill openings on various construction crews.  

Job Duties/Requirements:

  • Experienced Operator with the ability to operate equipment such as Back-hoe, Loader, Excavator,  Roller, Broom, Scrapper, Paving Machine, Dozer, Motor Grader.
  • Must have a total commitment to operate equipment safely.
  • Will conduct daily equipment inspection.
  • Will lubricate equipment grease points daily with supplied grease gun.
  • Will monitor equipment hours and know time of next equipment service.
  • Will verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawing/plans.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required.
  • Must be dependable, punctual and work well in a team environment.
  • Must be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must pass initial hire as well as random drug tests.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all elements (heat, cold, rain).
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots) at all times.
  • Able to work a flexible shift and overtime as required include night shift if needed
  • Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
  • Frequent use of arms, hands, fingers feet.
  • Physical work required at times.
