SUMMARY

Assures that guest rooms are clean and in good repair with hotel standards in a timely fashion. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests. Ensure quality standards within the housekeeping function by inspecting rooms and public areas to make certain that all assignments have been completed. Use proper care in handling and operating equipment and report misuse of equipment when noted. Must be knowledgeable of housekeeper and houseperson duties. Function as a housekeeper or houseperson as necessary. Report discrepancies to Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Team Lead, i.e., late checkouts, etc. Report ready rooms to Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Team Lead as soon as they become available. Ensure that housekeepers and housepersons have proper and adequate supplies. Work closely with Housepersons and Housekeeping Team Supervisor in all aspects of the job. Train new housekeepers according to Grand Targhee standards and policies. Perform duties in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Team Lead. Assist housekeepers in stocking carts. Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY

Protect the safety of self-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures. Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others. Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities with staff.

WORK SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT

Due to the always changing schedule of the housekeeping department, days off may change month to month but two days off in a row are guaranteed. There is the possibility for overtime if any employees call off. Overtime is not guaranteed. Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
