As we continue to scale, we’re building an underwriting team that prioritizes quality over speed and risk-adjusted performance over volume. Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced  Junior Underwriter to join our team and support our funding operations by reviewing, analyzing, and approving deals primarily in the  C & D risk tiers . This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience working in fast-paced MCA environments and can balance aggressive deal flow with sound credit judgment. Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite MCA submissions with a focus on higher-risk credit profiles (C & D paper)
• Evaluate financial documentation including bank statements, credit reports, merchant histories, and other supporting materials
• Make structured and timely risk-based decisions aligned with company guidelines
• Communicate with ISO partners and internal stakeholders to clarify, adjust, and optimize submissions
• Maintain consistent underwriting standards and assist with policy updates as needed
• Work closely with funding and portfolio teams to ensure deal quality and compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MCA underwriting, with demonstrated work in C & D paper segments
• Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to assess business risk based on limited or imperfect information
• Proficiency in reviewing merchant bank statements, credit reports, and financial metrics
• Familiarity with MCA decision-making platforms and CRM systems
• Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment and meet turnaround expectations
• Clear, concise communication skills for cross-functional and ISO-facing collaboration
