Job Description

Landscape maintenance technician/gardener who will drive a company truck. Candidate must be able to work as a team to provide landscape maintenance services to both residential and commercial properties. Safely operate typical maintenance equipment such as mowers, edgers, weed whackers, blowers, etc., and tools to ensure all plant materials and features are maintained. Perform all work on schedule in a timely and safe manner. Take professionalism seriously and provide an excellent representation of the company.

Typical responsibilities:

  • Mowing and edging lawns.
  • Pruning shrubs and trimming hedges.
  • Using leaf blowers and other power equipment.
  • Weeding and maintaining flower beds.
  • Minor tree work
  • Applying mulch
  • Picking up trash and debris
  • Fertilization
  • Simple irrigation repairs
  • Planting and seasonal colored flowers
  • Tool maintenance and repairs
  • Documentation of jobs
  • Time-tracking
  • Driving
  • Basic Equipment maintenance
  • Basic Vehicle maintenance

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Valid California driver's license
  • At least 2 years of experience in professional maintenance
  • Bi-lingual English & Spanish reading and writing fluently
  • At least 18 years old
  • Good driving record
  • Pass drug test
  • Ability to use apps and software on a phone

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have adequate hearing, speaking, and vision to clearly and safely communicate.
  • Must be able to critically think and problem-solve.
  • Must be able to prioritize and efficiently delegate work to be done on a weekly basis.
  • Must be able to walk at a normal pace and have all-around mobility.
  • Must be able to work in cold and hot conditions.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs comfortably.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours.
