n Logic is seeking a Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer to support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force’s (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We conduct operations and sustainment activities for state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our Nation’s warfighters.

KBR is seeking a Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer to support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force’s (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We conduct operations and sustainment activities for state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our Nation’s warfighters.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Design, plan, coordinate, and execute testing on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (Global-ASNT), Time Distribution Subsystem PreProcessor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), and various other MILSATCOM systems, subsystems and devices
  • Provide engineering and technician-level support, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, system-level anomaly resolution, and the identification and isolation of software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications
  • Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Clearance is required for this position
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or similar technical discipline from an accredited university
  • Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • 5+ years of small team leadership experience
  • 5+ years experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
  • 5+ years experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
  • 5+ years experience working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Operational Test (OT) experience supporting a DoD Operational Test Agency (OTA) or other test organizations
  • Specific experience operating or maintaining the following: FAB-T, MMS, Global-ASNT, GBS Receive Suites, cryptographic equipment (e.g., KIV-7M, KG-250), and/or related infrastructure/support equipment
  • Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment
  • International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification or higher
  • Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active Secret Clearance. This is a full-time position in Colorado Springs, CO. The pay range for this position is $99,000 to $130,400. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and additional supplemental benefits, such as professional development support.
