Join the Hewn Team as Our AM Pastry Cook!

Are you an early riser with a passion for baking and an eye for detail? Hewn, a beloved local bakery known for its artisanal breads and pastries, is looking for a dedicated AM Pastry Cook to join our growing team.

In this crucial role, you'll be at the heart of our morning operations, responsible for baking pastries for all Hewn locations and contributing to our daily production. This is an incredible opportunity for a skilled and efficient baker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in crafting delicious, high-quality goods.

What You'll Do:

Execute the daily bake for pastries, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to Hewn's recipes and standards.

Prepare and produce various pastry items, contributing to our overall daily production goals.

Work efficiently and independently in early morning hours, getting a head start on the day's delicious offerings.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Collaborate with the pastry team to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.

What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a pastry cook or baker, preferably in a high-volume bakery or restaurant setting.

Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.

Ability to work early morning shifts consistently.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain one).

Culinary Degree (preferred)
