Responsible for server design, design validation and test, and product sustaining activities. The design processes include product specification development, electrical design and schematic capture, DFT and DFM design, and PCB and PCA stack-up, placement and layout reviews. Participate in design verification and validation, including generating detailed qualification and test reports, and work with the Operations team in the initial release of the product. Assist in the development of product design requirements and documentation based on product marketing requirements. Develop designs that satisfy costs, schedule, functionality, and DFT and DFM requirements. Participate in continuous design process improvement. Schedule tasks and mentor junior engineers and technicians and drive fabrication partners to best-in-class performance.
Education Required: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Experience Required: 8 years of progressive experience in job offered or related occupation.
Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:
Working on schematics capture using tools like Allegro Concept HDL, Orcad Capture or similar and on layout review using tools like Allegro PCB
Designing on Denverton-NS/Skylake or similar x86 CPU complex.
Designing on DDR3, DDR4 or similar memory interfaces.
Designing using FPGAs such as Xilinx Ultrascale, Xilinx Kintex and CPUs like P2020.
Working on network interfaces such as GMII, QSGMII, SONET & SerDes.
Reliability Demonstration Tests (RDT), Engineering Design Validation Tests (EDVT) and root cause analysis on failed boards during reliability tests.
Utilizing interfaces such as UART, eMMC, USB2, I2C, I3C, USB3, eSPI, LAN (100/1000), PCIe3.0, SATA, M.2, JTAG.
Electronics design for qualifying standards such as FCC PART 15, CISPR32,55032,61000-6-1,61000-4-2/3/4/5/6, and Safety 60950-1.
Working with DFM/DFT team and fab house for manufacturing & assembly.
Experience must be progressively responsible .
Salary: $145,000 - $155,000 per year
