Title: Senior SAP Solution Architect DM & EDM

Location: The Woodlands, TX (Hybrid 3 days a week to onsite)

Duration: Full Time // Long Term

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP Solution Architect with a focus on Device Management (DM) and Energy Data Management (EDM) to lead the design, development, and support of Customer System applications. The successful candidate will serve as a technical SME, ensuring innovative, scalable, and integrated solutions aligned with business objectives, particularly supporting Meter-to-Bill processes within SAP IS-U and HANA environments. This position will report directly to the IT Service Delivery Manager for Meter to Bill.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical expert for solution architecture and design for Meter to Bill applications and domains.
• Lead the architecture and design involving SAP IS-U, HANA, SAP Device Management (DM), SAP Energy Data Management (EDM), and AMI integrations and MDMS connectivity.
• Work with the Enterprise Architect to evaluate emerging technologies and apply industry best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to define requirements, design solutions, and support the application lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership on projects, including solution design, estimation, risk assessment, and adherence to enterprise standards.
• Provide hands-on technical support, including ABAP development and configuration for minor enhancements.
• Support annual project portfolio planning and IT estimation during business case development.
• Support system enhancements, incident resolution, and integration efforts for Meter-to-Bill systems.
• Support solution sourcing and selection processes (e.g., RFPs, SOWs).
• Manage and deliver application support for DM, EDM, and their integration with billing, AMI, and other SAP IS-U areas.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to inform future solutions.
• Oversee technical aspects of vendor engagement and ensure quality delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, including solution architecture or related roles.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Device Management (DM) and Energy Data Management (EDM).
• Strong experience with SAP HANA, AMI, and MDMS integration with SAP IS-U.
• Proficient in ABAP programming.
• Deep understanding of utility industry solutions, AMI interfacing, and billing processes.
• Strong knowledge of Meter to Cash processes and SAP IS-U Billing integration.
• Strong integration knowledge between CCS and MDMS (for meter reads and billing determinants).
• Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, application lifecycle, and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks and solution lifecycle management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
• Effective presentation and documentation skills.
• Preferred: SAP IS-U Certification and/or ABAP Development Certification
