As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence to support a secure environment. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you navigate the property and interact with visitors and staff. What You’ll Do - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Follow all company protocols and procedures, including those specific to armed patrol duties.

- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements - A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A current armed guard card or license is required.
- Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
