You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. **Position Purpose:** The pharmacy intern will learn both clinical and business skills that will prepare them for a career in specialty pharmacy. They will primarily work with pharmacists to support clinical and operational initiatives. Some examples of experiences include biosimilar therapeutic interchange, brand to generic conversions, and accreditation, or practice compliance-related initiatives. **Duties** : + Analyze pharmacy/medical claims data to improve quality or cost-effectiveness of care + Review drug information literature to make evidence-based clinical decisions + Support quality initiatives to improve appropriate medication use + Perform quality review via user acceptance testing of decision tools in proprietary systems + Learn various clinical services that specialty pharmacies provide to clients + Convey knowledge of clinical savings capabilities and opportunities in applied markets **Education/Experience:** Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college pursuing their Doctor in Pharmacy degree and not have graduated. **AcariaHealth:** State pharmacy intern license relative to where the assigned pharmacy is located. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
