Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, principles of surgical procedures, anatomy and physiology, use and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist the surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Understand the surgery schedule work-flow and is available to meet the needs for room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

High School diploma or GED
Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
NBSTSA or NCCT Certified Surgical Technologist
Active BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

1-year of Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist experience
