Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a well-respected community hospital in beautiful Hood River, Oregon. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
- Assess, plan, and administer respiratory therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders.
- Operate ventilators, perform intubations/extubations, and manage oxygen delivery systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC or similar charting systems.
- Respond promptly to emergencies including Code Blue situations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (hospital setting preferred).
- Prior community hospital experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working with neonates and pediatric patients is strongly preferred.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is a bonus.
Certifications & Licensure (Required):
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Oregon State License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
