Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist ICU to join the team at the Hospital in Syracuse, NY. This role involves delivering specialized respiratory care in an acute care environment, supporting critically ill patients, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist ICU

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210

Shifts: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)

Scheduled Hours: 36 hours/week

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $60-$62/HR

Responsibilities

• Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients.
• Institute and monitor oxygen therapy.
• Assist physicians in initiating and maintaining continuous ventilation.
• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Conduct pulmonary function tests.
• Perform radial arterial punctures.
• Provide comprehensive respiratory care in an ICU setting with minimal orientation and supervision.

Requirements

• Education: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensure: Current NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care clinical experience post-A.A.S. degree.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.

Additional Information

• No block scheduling available.
