Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey. You contribute to our success. Join us in our efforts to better serve our community! **A few responsibilities of our Anesthesia Technician include:** + Provides the operating room staff, surgeons, and anesthesia personnel with the necessary supplies and equipment for the surgical procedures + Ensures utilized equipment (included but not limited to: glidescope/bronchoscope/difficult intubation equipment) is appropriately cleaned, stored and in proper working order prior to use. + Submits work orders in a timely manner for needed maintenance/repairs. + Schedules preventative maintenance as required and follows up on completion. + Performs 1st level testing and maintenance on anesthesia equipment + Trouble shoots issues with anesthesia machines and other anesthesia equipment + Maintains designated par levels of anesthesia supplies and ensures carts are stocked with immediate use items used for operative procedures. + Maintains inventory/stock levels, ordering, acquiring supplies and minor instruments and equipment + Participates in evaluating new equipment/supplies that pertains to the anesthesia service **Required Job Qualifications include:** + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR + Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively + Medical terminology + Basic personal computer skills + Medical supply knowledge **For more than 100 years, Wesley Healthcare has provided exceptional care** to thousands of families in Wichita and throughout Kansas and Northern Oklahoma.
