Associate Financial Advisor – Munn & Associates Location: Paramus, NJ Schedule: Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM Are you a seasoned financial professional with a passion for client relationships and a desire to contribute to the growth of a thriving private wealth advisory practice? Munn & Associates, a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Financial Advisor (AFA) to join our team. This role blends client service responsibilities with the opportunity to gradually build your own book of business. Responsibilities:

• Client Relationship Management: Manage assigned clients while building your own book. Provide exceptional service, address clients’ financial needs, and collaborate to understand their goals and objectives.
• Meeting Preparation and Follow-Up: Prepare for client meetings, ensuring all necessary documentation is organized and complete. Conduct diligent follow-up to address any outstanding questions or action items.
• Financial Planning and Investment Support: Assist the advisory team in developing comprehensive financial plans. Provide well-researched recommendations aligned with client objectives.
• Trades and Transactions: Execute trades and transactions accurately and in a timely manner. Stay informed on market trends and investment opportunities to provide guidance to clients.
• Deepening Client Relationships: Proactively engage with clients to deepen relationships, understand evolving needs, and introduce additional services where appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Fully licensed: Series 7, Series 66, Life & Health (candidates not fully licensed will have 6 months to complete).
• Experience with Salesforce CRM and MoneyGuide a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Service-oriented mindset, comfortable managing clients while gradually growing a book of business.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation range: $90,000 – $150,000, Exempt, depending on experience and production.
• Health insurance: 90% of employee premiums covered; 30% of dependents’ premiums covered.
• 401(k) plan with 4% match (eligible after 6 months).
• PTO and seven holidays consistent with standard bank schedule.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid model with minimum 2 days/week in-office (Mon & Thu)
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
