Heavy Industrial Mechanical Systems Technician

Role Snapshot

Maintain, repair, and operate mechanical assets across a large industrial plant to keep production moving safely and reliably.

Core Duties

• Install, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systems.
• Service conveyors, cranes, and mobile equipment; work with pendant/overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance using standard and specialized tooling.
• Assist operations when needed to sustain continuous output.
• Perform assignments solo or with fellow maintenance techs.
• Enter confined spaces and work at heights as tasks require.
• Work across environments that may be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and loud.

Must-Haves

• 1+ year of manufacturing/industrial experience or equivalent education (military experience counts). Applicable experience might include hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission, welding, pipefitting, structural repair, or diesel mechanics.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Availability for 8-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Safety focus: consistently follow procedures and wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, metatarsal boots).
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and self-directed work habits.
• Ability to pass required assessment test(s).
