Celebrating over 40 years of operations in Tucson, Arizona, the service center occupies almost 1 million sq ft of total hangar space and is the largest of Bombardier's nine aircraft service centers. The facility services both Bombardier commercial and business aircraft. Since its inauguration in 1976, the facility has been located at Tucson International Airport, a strategic location and a key local partner. The 247,000 sq ft Business Aircraft facility is equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, including interior modifications, avionics installations, customized exterior paint, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support for Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft. The Service Center has received certifications from CAAC, FAA, EASA, Argentina (Military), Bermuda, Canada, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Qatar and South Africa. In your role, you will: - Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hanger positions - Comply with environmental health and safety policies / procedures. - Participate in 5-S activities. - Perform work in a safe and timely manner - Fabricate, install and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request - Complete customer requests that include items such as carpeting and upholstery on seats, card tables, side panels, glare shield, aircraft cabinets, card tables and side panels - Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required - Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed - Clean aircraft as required - Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed **How to thrive in this role?** You are currently pursuing a degree; Technical/Trade School, Associates, Bachelors, Masters (focus on Aviation, Business, Management or Engineering preferred) - You have the availability to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am - 5pm (average 20-30 hours per week) - You have thorough knowledge of upholstery component construction and assembly - You have the ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude - You have the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings - You have basic PC skills - You have the ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status Preferred Qualifications: - Know how to operate Industrial sewing machine single and double needle. - Knowledge in using Leather skiver - Experience in laying out patterns - Fabrication of cabin curtains - Ability to sew up seat covers **Now that you can see yourself in this role, apply and join the Bombardier Team!** Bombardier is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
