Job Description

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
• A High School Diploma/GED with over 10 years of experience in the Information Technology sector.
• Proficient in software development, including extensive Java coding, data analysis/parsing, and SQL/database expertise.
• Familiarity with the complete data lifecycle, from data ingestion to visualization, particularly within a Big Data ecosystem.
• Experience with Java-related technologies, such as JDK, J2EE, EJB, JDBC, Spring, along with a background in RESTful APIs.
• Experience in developing and executing ETL tasks in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, I expect you to undertake various tasks, including but not limited to:
• Crafting and executing large-scale data ingestion systems within a Big Data framework.
• Enhancing every stage of the data lifecycle, from preliminary planning to ingestion and final presentation.
• Designing and implementing processes for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and replication/distribution.
• Creating custom solutions and code to ingest and leverage both new and existing data sources.
• Collaborating with sponsor development teams to optimize application performance.
• Organizing and managing documentation to ensure clarity and accessibility for others.
• Partnering with team members, other service providers, vendors, and users to create and refine efficient methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

We would appreciate candidates who have:
- Experience with Hadoop, HBase, and MapReduce.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch.
- Expertise in NiFi, Kafka, and Zookeeper.

Clearance Requirements:

An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates should be able to:
- Use their hands to operate computers and other office productivity devices, such as calculators, copiers, and printers.
- Occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets and office equipment.
- Remain in a stationary position for approximately 50% of their time.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations and ensuring accurate information exchange.
