JOB TITLE: Life Sciences Data Analyst
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
DUTIES: Generate complex healthcare datasets for external and internal clients. Collaborate with internal teams and different levels of management. Learn and embrace the nuances of real-world data (RWD). Review and verify the quality of other analysts' deliverables. Coordinate with end users or other stakeholders to see projects through to completion. Participate in quarterly data product release. Coordinate with other analysts to ensure data tables and files are prepared for client delivery. Prepare supporting documentation for quarterly data product release. Coordinate with data teams to ensure data dictionary and entity relationship diagram are accurate. Perform quality control of team members products to ensure errors are not introduced into code and that analytical process is sound. Deliver full data products to clients as well as other delivery methods that may be developed in the future. Support client-facing teams by investigating client concerns or questions they may experience as they use our data products. Coordinate with infrastructure teams for ongoing optimization and streamlining of the release process and cohort generation process. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Statistical Science, Computer Science or a related field and the completion of a university-level/university-level course, research project,
internship, or thesis or one year of experience involving the following:
- Programming Languages such as SQL, R, Python, or SAS;
- Cloud-based storage systems including S3, GitHub, AWS environment and Google Cloud;
- Microsoft Project or SmartSheet;
- Azure, Jira, or Google Platforms;
- Industry terminology such as HealthCare codes, Government data, and marketing terminologies;
- Project management tools including Jira, Excel and Zoom; and
- Data privacy and encryption.
RATE OF PAY: $100,600.00 - $138,495.00/year
