Job Description

We are looking to fill a long-term Contract role as Medicaid SAP Developer

Mode of Interview: In person

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Work Location: Columbia, SC

Shift: EST

Key Responsibilities

  • Tier 1 & 2 Technical Support: Serve as the initial point of contact for technical issues within the SAP system, primarily focused on SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or related modules used by the DPH.
  • Incident Management: Triage, diagnose, and resolve production support incidents and service requests logged by end-users using an IT Service Management (ITSM) tool (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Troubleshooting: Perform initial root cause analysis for technical issues, including transaction errors, interface failures, authorization issues, and performance degradations.
  • User Management: Assist with basic SAP user access, authorization roles, and profile maintenance under the guidance of senior technical staff.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all support tickets, resolution steps, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) to build a robust knowledge base.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior SAP Basis administrators, functional analysts, and state personnel to escalate complex problems and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitoring: Assist in monitoring system health, background jobs, and system logs to proactively identify potential issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in an IT support, help desk, or technical role, preferably involving a major ERP system like SAP.
  • Recent graduates with strong technical coursework or internships are encouraged to apply.
  • SAP Foundation: Basic familiarity with the SAP system landscape, terminology, and architecture. Knowledge of specific modules (e.g., FI, MM, HCM) is a plus.
  • Troubleshooting: Proven ability to logically approach and resolve technical and functional issues.
  • Technical Tools: Experience using an ITSM tool for ticket management and knowledge of basic database concepts (SQL) is beneficial.
    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with government staff and technical teams.
