About the role

As a network engineer within Insight’s Infrastructure Managed Services Team, your primary role will be a Network Engineer on diverse and challenging customer projects. You will be a member of a team responsible for incident resolution and service request handling for a wide variety of networking technologies. Serve as Level 1 primary support point of contact of a high-volume VMS software (Fieldglass) supporting self-service users as well as full white glove service support which includes the creation of SOW transactions in the VMS

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot WAN and LAN connections for multiple clients.  
• Use remote monitoring tools and protocol analyzers to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve network problems. Devices expected to be encountered include routers, switches, wireless access points, wireless controllers, firewalls, next generation firewalls, firewall management consoles, load balancers, SASE solutions, etc.  
• Perform advanced, complex network analysis, identify problems, and determine solutions. 
• Recommend enhancements to the network that will improve the quality, performance, security, and reliability of the network.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Computer/Information Science, technical college, or equivalent work experience 

• 7+ years progressive experience in networking 

• Must have Palo Alto, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, ASA, Firepower, Fortinet, and F5 experience. 

• Juniper experience desired.  

• Demonstrated associate to professional level technology and support experience for route/switch, security, wireless, etc. Certifications desired.
