NEEDED: Physician Assistant

LOCATION: 1000 University Drive SW, Waseca, MN 56093

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 7:30AM – 4:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• One year of experience as a Physician Assistant
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the United States
• Be certified by NCCPA
• CPR Certified

JOB DUTIES:

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services
• Take medical histories, examine patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays.
• Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe be dictations
• Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing
• Provide female health care services to include breast exams, pelvic exams, and pap smears
• Attend to medical emergencies
• Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultation, instruct and counsel, and order or carry out therapy
• Emergency consultation to be performed by the contractor in instances where deemed necessary and performing minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits if necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the staff physician(s) and consulting physician(s) in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising treatment plans.
• Assist in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to delivery of the healthcare services.
• Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.
• Conduct daily sick call; which may include securing health histories from the patient, record findings and providing clinical evaluations.
• Provide a wide range of emergency services, in the absence of the physicians.
