Job Description

- Position: Senior Data Engineer (Azure Data & ETL)

- Rate: max daily 500/day ( all inclusive, depending on experience )

- Client: European Commission

Please note that we can only consider EU candidates for this position due to security clearance requirements.

• Master's degree in Business intelligence/Datawarehouse or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• At least 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure platform for data warehousing;
• At least 5 years of experience in database modelling and ETL for Azure Synapse;
• At least 1 year of experience in business intelligence tools, such as: Power BI;
• Experience in either one of the following technologies: Azure Gen2(ADLS), Oracle, MySQL, SQL server and PostgreSQL;
• Experience in Cloud-based data warehouse platforms with a strong preference for Azure;
• Experience in PySpark (Python), Scala and Spark SQL;
• Experience in DevOps Tools: Git, Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines;
• The following certification is considered mandatory: MS Azure Data engineer Certified;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Platform 365 Power apps, Power Automate and Project management tools (e.g. JIRA) would be considered an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language, while fluency in French would be an asset.
