Job Title: WordPress Developer Location: East Brunswick, New Jersey (Local only) Experience: 3+ years Employment Type: Contract Responsibilities: WordPress Development: - Design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
- Implement custom features, themes, and plugins to meet project requirements.
Information Security Integration: - Integrate information security best practices into WordPress development processes.
- Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain the security controls outlined in our information security policy.
Risk Management: - Identify, assess, and address potential security risks associated with WordPress development projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
Privacy and Data Protection: - Ensure compliance with international, federal, and state privacy laws and regulations.
- Implement and maintain security measures for data transmission, storage, and usage within WordPress applications.
Access Management and Authentication: - Design and implement access management mechanisms in WordPress systems.
- Integrate and maintain multi-factor authentication (MFA) requirements.
Endpoint and Network Security: - Implement security measures for endpoint devices used in WordPress development.
- Apply defense-in-depth and least privilege strategies to secure IT networks.
Incident Response and Continuous Monitoring: - Develop and maintain an incident response capability for WordPress applications.
- Implement continuous monitoring practices to detect and respond to security incidents.
Requirements: - Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and custom development.
- Familiarity with information security principles and practices.
- Experience integrating security controls into WordPress applications.
- Knowledge of risk management, privacy, and data protection best practices.
- Understanding of access management, authentication, and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with incident response and continuous monitoring in the WordPress context.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Education and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in WordPress development and information security are a plus.
