Job Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Drain Technician to join our growing drain division at Spencer Home Services. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or eager to grow with comprehensive training, we’re looking for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional drain cleaning, diagnostics, and repair services for residential and light commercial clients. Familiarity with ServiceTitan is a plus to support our streamlined operations.   • Diagnose and clear blockages in drains, sewer lines, and main lines using snaking, hydro-jetting, and video camera inspections.
  • Repair and replace damaged drain lines, traps, cleanouts, and related components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on drain systems to prevent future backups and water damage.
  • Collaborate with plumbers, HVAC techs, and electricians on multi-service projects (e.g., bathroom remodels, sump pump installs).
  • Use ServiceTitan for job scheduling, invoicing, camera reports, and customer communication (training provided if needed).
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, explaining drain issues in plain language and providing transparent estimates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work truck and manage inventory of tools (e.g., jetters, locators, cameras).
  • Maintain a professional appearance (uniforms provided) and a safe, clean work site per OSHA and company standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training (weekly in-house, vendor-sponsored, Nexstar) to master the latest drain tech and diagnostics.
  • Contribute to innovation by sharing ideas to improve processes or enhance client experiences.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on drain cleaning and repair experience (residential preferred); motivated candidates with less experience may be considered with a commitment to training.
  • Skills: Proficient with hydro-jetting, sewer cameras, locators, and snaking equipment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar CRM preferred; willingness to learn.
  • Soft Skills: Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills. Commitment to our core values of shared success, pride in work, and ethical practices.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work in confined spaces, crawl, and perform tasks in varying conditions (wet, dirty, tight spaces).
  • Other: Ability to pass a background check and commute or relocate to Peabody, MA 01960 before starting work.
