The Sleep Away Camp Lifeguard supports the Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s mission by ensuring a safe, well-supervised, and engaging aquatics environment for all campers and staff. This role is responsible for guarding recreational swim times, supporting small watercraft activities (when assigned), and assisting with general camp programming. Lifeguards ensure that all aquatics operations follow State Licensing Regulations, ACA Standards, Girl Scout Safety Activity Checkpoints, and GSOFCT Policies.
All staff are expected to promote and support the Girl Scout Mission: “Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.”
